Americas Got Talent Contestant to Perform April 15 at UW

Renowned magician Derek Hughes will perform Friday, April 15, at 9 p.m. in the University of Wyoming’s College of Education auditorium. The Friday Night Fever event is free to UW students.

A former contestant on “America’s Got Talent,” Hughes has performed on many TV shows, including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” VH1’s “Celebracadabra” and Comedy Central’s “The Gong Show with Dave Attell.”

Friday Night Fever will screen “The Finest Hours” Friday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room.

“The Finest Hours,” based on a true story, chronicles the 1952 U.S. Coast Guard rescue of the SS Pendleton. The ship split apart during a nor’easter off the New England coast.
