Candlelight Vigil Tuesday Following UW Students Death

A candlelight vigil is planned Tuesday, April 12, at 8 p.m. on the University of Wyoming’s Fraternity Mall to honor the memory of a UW student who died of natural causes April 5.

Ina Renee Goodman, a biology and environment and natural resources major, was the daughter of Leonard and Vicky Goodman, of Cody. A member of the Chi Omega sorority, she was on track to graduate in May 2017.

In addition to the candlelight vigil, services for Goodman are 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home, 2133 Rainbow Ave., in Laramie.

Those affected by Goodman’s death are reminded that counseling services are available at the UW Counseling Center, located in Room 341 of Knight Hall. The phone number is (307) 766-2187, and it is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Same-day appointments are available for crisis situations. Daily walk-in appointment times are Monday 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. Anyone who experiences a crisis outside regular business hours should call (307) 766-8989 and ask for the counselor on call.
