University of Wyoming Calendar for May 9-15

These are among the activities scheduled May 9-15 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, May 9-Friday, May 13 -- Finals week.

Tuesday, May 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. -- Wyoming Honors Organization, Tri Delta and Black Dog Animal Rescue will host a puppy destresser event in Prexy’s Pasture. Rentals cost $5 for 10 minutes.

Tuesday, May 10, 2 p.m. -- Student group Spectrum will offer tie-dyeing activities on Simpson Plaza. People can bring their own items to dye or purchase some from the group.

Wednesday, May 11, noon -- The UW Wellness Center will offer a kitty destresser event in the Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center, Room 115. Free.

Thursday, May 12, 7:30 p.m. -- UW-Casper graduation ceremonies, Casper Events Center.

Friday, May 13, 12:15 p.m. -- Veterans Services Center ceremony, Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

Friday, May 13, 2 p.m. -- Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing Convocation, College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.

Friday, May 13, 3 p.m. -- Multicultural graduation ceremony, Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

Friday, May 13, 6 p.m. -- American Indian Studies Program graduation ceremony, UW Conference Center.

Friday, May 13, 6 p.m. -- A reception for art exhibition “BFA 2016” will take place in the Visual Arts Building Gallery. Free.

Friday, May 13, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Dust, Light, Dust: The Life Cycle of Stars.” A STAR Observatory tour follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.

9 a.m. -- College of Education, Indoor Practice Facility.

10 a.m. -- College of Law, Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall.

11 a.m.-1 p.m. -- President's picnic, a free lunch at War Memorial Fieldhouse and Wyoming Union Yellowstone Ballroom.

11 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Outreach School commencement reception, Wildcatter Stadium Club, War Memorial Stadium.

1:30 p.m. -- College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Indoor Practice Facility.

1:30 p.m. -- College of Arts and Sciences, Arena-Auditorium.

1:30 p.m. -- College of Engineering and Applied Science, College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.

6 p.m. -- Army/Air Force ROTC commissioning ceremony, Performing Arts Center concert hall.
