These are among the activities scheduled Aug. 22-28 at the University of Wyoming:
Thursday, Aug. 25, 7 a.m. -- UW residence halls open for the fall semester.
Friday, Aug. 26, 3-10 p.m. -- The UW Art Museum will host a booth at the Laramie Farmers Market downtown. Participants can make free seed bomb sculptures from 3-7 p.m. Following the market, the Art Museum will sponsor a community picnic at Laramie’s Depot Park with free lawn games and entertainment. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Friday, Aug. 26, 4:30 p.m. -- Cowgirl soccer vs. Montana, Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Ticket prices vary.
Friday, Aug. 26, 5 p.m. -- The UW Center for Global Studies will host “American Foreign Policy and the 2016 Elections,” a panel discussion, in the UW College of Business, Room 121. Free.
Friday, Aug. 26, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Stellar Evolution.” A STAR Observatory tour follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.
Saturday, Aug. 27, 8 a.m. -- The annual household item giveaway for international students attending UW will take place in the parking and circle drive area south of the Cheney International Center. Donations can be dropped off between 7-8 a.m.
Saturday, Aug. 27, 9 a.m. -- The UW Nordic ski team will host its annual “Trash 2 Treasure” fundraiser in the UW Fieldhouse.
Saturday, Aug. 27, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. -- The UW Art Museum will host an early childhood educator workshop. Register by Aug. 24. For more information, call (307) 766-3515.
Saturday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m. -- Planetarium show, “Spaceships.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in Room 204 of the Physical Sciences Building.
Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum, open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
