UWs Frontline Connections Offers Information to Help Students

Information on how to link students with resources will be presented at the University of Wyoming’s Frontline Connections Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 17-18, in Room 105 of the Classroom Building.

The sessions are from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Aug. 17 and from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Aug. 18. Both sessions will cover the same material, so individuals only need to attend one session. The Aug. 18 session will be available by video conference for Outreach School staff. Door prizes will be awarded.

Frontline Connections is an information-sharing event for frontline professionals to receive updates about various programming, staffing, contact information and campus resources so that information that is relayed to students is consistent and accurate.

“Whether you’ve been in a frontline position for some time or are new to UW, Frontline Connections offers up-to-date information on resources and contacts where students can be directed for the assistance they need,” says event organizer Marilyn Bryan. “Our Olympics theme this year reminds us that we are all a part of a team, and what we do is vital to the success of our students.”

Representatives of the Office of the Registrar, Admissions, the Center for Advising and Career Services, Residence Life and Dining Services, Auxiliary Services, Student Health Service and other departments will present brief overviews offering important information and changes that pertain to their respective units.
