UW College of Agriculture and Natural Resources Honors Outstanding Alums

The University of Wyoming College of Agriculture and Natural Resources will recognize its annual award recipients Saturday, Sept. 17, during Ag Appreciation Weekend in Laramie.

Pine Bluffs cattle producer, feedlot owner and farmer Bill Gross and Doug Miyamoto, director of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture, are this year’s Outstanding Alumni Award recipients.

Gillette rancher and longtime legislator John Hines is being honored for his contributions to the college and the university, and the Wyoming Wool Growers Association is this year’s Outstanding Research Partner of the Year.

The annual Ag Day Barbecue, which benefits agricultural student organizations, is 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday in the southwest corner of the Indoor Practice Facility before the Cowboys-UC Davis football game. Game time is at 2 p.m.
