UWs Role for Initiative is Octobers Featured RSO

Role for Initiative is October’s featured recognized student organization (RSO), selected by the Campus Activities Center staff at the University of Wyoming.

Role for Initiative allows a variety of tabletop games, such as “Dungeons and Dragons” and “Magic the Gathering,” to come to life every week.

The RSO was officially created in fall semester 2015 for new and experienced gamers to come together in an organized setting to play games they enjoy, or wish to learn, while making new friends. Role for Initiative is open to all students of any mastery level and meets each Sunday from 4-8 p.m. in the Gardens programming area in the lower level of the Wyoming Union.

For more information about joining Role for Initiative, students can stop by weekly meetings, become a member on Collegiate Link at uwyo.collegiatelink.net/organization/RFIWYO, or follow on Facebook at www.facebook.com/RFIWYO.

Campus Activities Center graduate assistant Kelli Anderson enjoys seeing the featured monthly RSO nominations and what the clubs have to offer for students.

“The featured RSOs are chosen initially by self-nomination, then the staff at the Campus Activities Center reviews the RSOs' reasoning for why they should be featured RSOs,” Anderson says. “We select RSOs based on their own description and reasoning.”

For more information about how to nominate your organization as Campus Activities Center’s next featured RSO, visit www.uwyo.edu/union/cac/rso/featured-rso/, email rsohelp@uwyo.edu, like the Wyoming Union on Facebook, or follow on Twitter at @UWYOCAC.
