Bus Shuttle Service to Polling Place Offered to UW Students on Election Day

November 1, 2016

University of Wyoming Transit and Parking Services and Pokes Vote will offer residential students an easy way to get to their polling place Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The Campus Commuter Bus Route will include a stop at the National Guard Armory, located at Armory Road and 30th Street. The armory building is the polling place for all students registered to vote with their residence hall address.

Pokes Vote, a UW Service, Leadership and Community Engagement (SLCE) office program, will host an election day watch party at 7 p.m. in the Wyoming Union skylight lounge Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Food, a photo booth and door prizes will be provided. A costume contest also will be held, and UW students are encouraged to dress in their best patriotic attire. An iPad will be awarded to the winner.

Any student wearing an “I Voted” sticker will receive a free Pokes Vote shirt while supplies last.
