Selling globally is important and can help a company grow its business.
To help companies understand more about the important factors to consider when assessing their export readiness, John Privette, regional director for the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and an international trade specialist, will present the webinar, titled “Exporting -- A World of Opportunity,” Thursday, Jan. 26, from 2-3 p.m.
The SBDC is a partnership among the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Business Council and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBDC focuses on educating small-business owners and potential owners on how to successfully start and operate small businesses. The SBDC’s main office is located at UW.
During the webinar, Privette will debunk the common myths about exporting and explain how trade can transform a business model.
This webinar is free of charge through a State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) grant to the Wyoming Business Council from the U.S. SBA. Attendees must register at www.wyomingsbdc.org to obtain the link to the program.
The purpose of this grant is to provide opportunities for Wyoming companies to learn about exporting; become export-ready; participate in trade missions; and/or receive assistance to attend an international trade show. For more information, call Privette at (307) 772-7371.
Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance. For more information, call the SBDC at (307) 382-0947.
The Wyoming SBDC Network is a business advising group of the Wyoming SBDC, Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Market Research Center and SBIR/STTR Initiative. The network’s mission is to help Wyoming entrepreneurs succeed. Advising and most market research activities are free of charge to Wyoming residents.
The SBDC is funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. SBA. Additional support is provided by the Wyoming Business Council and UW.
