UW MBA Students Schedule Spring Executive Speaker Series

January 25, 2017

University of Wyoming Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program students will have the opportunity to meet business executives this spring semester and receive real-world learning experiences.

“Students will hit the ground running with a number of experiential learning opportunities outside of the traditional classroom setting,” says Tanner Parmely, MBA Program recruiter. “One of the many experiential learning opportunities is the weekly UW MBA Executive Speaker Series.”

In just the first two weeks of the spring semester, Dan Hawley, Learfield Sports vice president, will meet with MBA students Friday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. in the UW College of Business. Students have been invited to attend Gov. Matt Mead’s hospitality and tourism conference Monday, Jan. 30, at 9 a.m. in Cheyenne, and Even Brande, founder and CEO of Handel Information Technologies in Laramie, will meet with students Friday, Feb. 3.

Parmely says students in the MBA Program have many opportunities to gain real-world experiences through the Executive Speaker Series, on-site visits, international travel, consulting projects and other scheduled events.

On campus, the MBA Program offers a number of degree tracks: the general MBA, energy management MBA and international MBA as well as dual degree programs for juris doctor, M.S. in engineering and for Pharm.D. candidates.

The MBA Program is currently accepting applications for the fall semester and will admit qualified students on a rolling basis until the cohort group is filled or June 30, whichever comes first, Parmely says.
