These are among the activities scheduled March 6-12 at the University of Wyoming:
Monday, March 6, 2 p.m. -- The UW College of Education presents guest lecturer Patricia Edwards, professor of teacher education and Senior University Outreach Fellow at Michigan State University. Edwards will speak on diversity in education in the Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center auditorium. A reception will follow in the Education Annex, Literacy Research Center and Clinic. Free.
Monday, March 6, 5 p.m. -- The UW Art Museum will host “Night at the Museum.” Free dinner will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Monday, March 6, 6 p.m. -- UW Gallery 234 will host a reception for “15 Years of Body Images.” The reception will be in the gallery, located in the lower level of the Wyoming Union. Free.
Tuesday, March 7, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. -- The UW Ceramic Art Guild will host the 28th annual Cup and Bowl Sale in the Visual Arts Building lobby.
Tuesday, March 7, 6 p.m. -- Several UW and Laramie organizations will host a presentation by Sans façon, an art practice that responds to the relationship between people and place. The talk will be at the Gryphon Theatre, located at 710 E. Garfield St. Free.
Tuesday, March 7, 7 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “This Month’s Sky.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204.
Tuesday, March 7-Friday, March 10, 7:30 p.m. -- The UW Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Spring to Dance” on the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts main stage. Tickets cost $14 for the public; $11 for senior citizens; and $7 for students. Tickets are available at the Performing Arts box office and the Wyoming Union information desk, by calling (307) 766-6666 or going online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts.
Wednesday, March 8, 4 p.m. -- The UW Division of Kinesiology and Health presents Tristan Wallhead, UW associate professor of kinesiology and health. Wallhead will discuss the development of physical literacy through sport education in the Corbett Building, Room 137. Free.
Thursday, March 9-Friday, March 10 -- The Center for Advising and Career Services will host the UW Teacher Fair 2017, open to all interested teacher candidates, at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. Registration is required.
Friday, March 10, 6 p.m. -- A reception for Brenna Powell and Josh Neugass, student artists, will be in the Visual Arts Building, THIS and THAT galleries. Free.
Friday, March 10, 8 p.m. -- Planetarium show, “Ice Giants.” A STAR Observatory tour (weather dependent) follows at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204.
