UW Trustees Education Initiative Board to Meet June 26

May 18, 2017

The University of Wyoming Trustees Education Initiative Board is scheduled to meet Monday, June 26, at 10 a.m. in Salons D and E of the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. The meeting is open to the public.

The board will review proposals from the initiative’s research work groups.

The Trustees Education Initiative (TEI) was established by the UW Board of Trustees in fall 2014 to “elevate the UW College of Education to national pre-eminent status in professional educator preparation, ultimately to improve and enhance K-12 education in Wyoming.”

The TEI Board is composed of trustees, UW administrators, College of Education representatives, Wyoming K-12 educators, first lady Carol Mead, external members and others.

Six of the nine Trustees Education Initiative research work groups have begun their work, with the final three slated to begin in fall 2017.

The Trustees Education Initiative hosted a series of 10 town-hall meetings throughout Wyoming in February and March. Input received from the town-hall meetings is posted online at: www.uwyo.edu/trust_edu_init/town-hall-meetings.html.
