(Note: The weekly construction update highlights only projects with new developments. Comprehensive updates are distributed monthly. For the most recent comprehensive update, click here.)

These are among the construction activities scheduled June 18-24 at the University of Wyoming:

Engineering Education and Research Building (EERB) (Construction manager GE Johnson Construction Wyoming LLC, Casper; spring 2019) -- Structural steel erection is underway. Click here to see a map showing revisions to bus routes and street closures. Please observe all construction signs.

Mick and Susie McMurry High Altitude Performance Center (Construction manager at risk GE Johnson Construction Wyoming LLC, Jackson; June 2018) -- Steel erection for the building is complete, and interior and exterior framing operations are in progress. Masonry work is complete on the east elevation and is in progress on the south and west elevations. Roofing operations, glazing installation and MEP rough-in work is in progress. The north side of the football field and the sidewalk to the north of the Rochelle Athletics Center will remain the only pedestrian paths from the east to the west across the north of the stadium until late August. Gates 6 and 8 will remain closed until the exterior site work and hardscapes are complete. Access to War Memorial Fieldhouse and the Arena-Auditorium via the north end of the field can only be achieved via Gate 4 during games and events. All other pedestrian access routes are indicated by traffic control barricades and signs. Site utility work, including the installation of steam lines and chilled water lines, is in progress. This includes open excavations, staging areas and equipment in the Visual Arts parking lot. Please use caution when in or near these areas.

Guthrie House (UW Operations, Equipment Shop; June 2017) -- Work has begun to construct a new ADA ramp east of the building. Parking in the area will be closed during demolition and construction. Please use caution around equipment.

Arena-Auditorium Addition and Renovations (General contractor Sletten Construction of Wyoming Inc., Cody; October 2017) -- Parking on the east side of the building will be blocked for the project duration. Access to the A-A is closed. Be cautious of equipment, vehicles and construction crews in the area.

College of Law Building (UW Operations, Carpenter and Paint Shops) -- The UW shops will remove the old partitions in the bathrooms on the second floor and replace them with new ones. Work began Monday, June 12, and will continue next week. Please use caution in these areas.

Ross Hall (Marshall Contracting and Facilities Operations, August 2017) -- A new ADA ramp is being constructed in the central corridor of the basement. Half of the east stairwell will be demolished and replaced with a ramp. Concrete is being poured; this will be ongoing for a few weeks. Please be cautious of crews and equipment around this area.

Agriculture Building -- Replacing the carpet in Room 237 is delayed and will begin in the upcoming weeks. New technology is scheduled to be installed during the last week of June.

College of Law Building (The Plumbing Co.; June 2017) -- Sewer line repair work will start next week in the parking lot driveway west of the main building entrance. Please use caution around the work area. Fencing will be set up, but the sidewalks adjacent to the work area will remain open.

UW Conference Center Kitchen Remodeling (General contractor Shepard Construction of Wyoming Inc., Rawlins; November 2017) -- Parking on the north side of the building will be limited for the project duration. The Conference Center remains open for use. Be cautious of equipment, vehicles and construction crews in the area.
