Breakthrough 307 Co-Founder is e2e Wyoming Speaker in Laramie Sept. 13

The co-founder of Breakthrough 307, a company that looks to fill funding gaps for startup companies, will be the next e2e Wyoming speaker in Laramie Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Jared Stack, a University of Wyoming graduate, will present “Access to Capital in Wyoming: How to Bridge the Valley of Death” from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center, 222 S. 22nd St.

Stack will talk about early-stage venture funding in Wyoming. The vision of Breakthrough 307 is to provide early-stage seed capital to high-growth companies in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain West while producing a positive return for investors. Specifically, access to capital during the early stages of development is a unique challenge and known to many as the “Valley of Death.”

Before co-founding Breakthrough 307, Stack was the CEO of Firehole Composites, a Wyoming Technology Business Center (WTBC) graduate company. A fifth-generation Wyomingite and a native of Casper, Stack oversaw the growth of Firehole from a small team of engineers to a thriving company that was acquired by Autodesk.

E2e is an educational networking program with chapters in Laramie, Casper, Gillette and Sheridan. It is designed to improve the climate for the startup and growth of entrepreneurial companies. Each e2e chapter meets bimonthly for 45 minutes of networking, followed by a 45-minute program. The programs feature successful entrepreneurs telling their stories, panel discussion on relevant topics and advice from experts in specific businesses.

Administered by the UW Office of Research and Economic Development, the WTBC is a not-for-profit business incubator that provides entrepreneurs with the expertise, networks and tools necessary for success.
