SBDC Workshop to Focus on Improving Workplace Productivity, Morale

August 29, 2017

Small-business owners can learn how to use the internal and external factors that influence employee productivity and morale.

A Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) webinar, titled “Improve Workplace Productivity and Morale,” is scheduled Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 2-3 p.m. Objectives, goals and plans; simple direct and sincere communication; and workload balance will all be discussed during the webinar.

The SBDC is a partnership among the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Business Council and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBDC focuses on educating small-business owners and potential owners on how to successfully start and operate small businesses. The SBDC’s main office is located at UW.

Cammie Pollastro, the academic success coach for students enrolled in the Supervision and Leadership program at Western Wyoming Community College, will present the webinar. She has a decade of experience in the areas of student services, project management and training.

“All businesses have issues with employee productivity and morale,” says Cindy Unger, business adviser for the Wyoming SBDC. “This webinar will provide some ideas about how to prevent and improve these issues.”

Due to a number of conflicting events, the September webinar will be on a Tuesday instead of the usual Thursday calendar slot, Unger says.

Registration fee for the program is $15; attendees can register at

Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made, if requested at least two weeks in advance. Language assistance services for clients with limited English proficiency will be provided. For more information, call Peggy Baker at 1-800-348-5194.

The Wyoming SBDC Network is a business advising group of the Wyoming SBDC, Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Market Research Center and SBIR/STTR Initiative.
