SBDC Workshop on Business Branding Scheduled in Casper Oct. 3

September 21, 2017

A Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) workshop, titled “Get the Best Bang for Your Brand,” is scheduled Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 3:30-4:30 p.m., in the SBDC Conference Room (Suite 300), located in the Bank of the West Building at 300 S. Wolcott St. in Casper.

The workshop will help businesses learn how to create a brand or leverage an existing brand to generate the greatest impact in a competitive marketplace.

The SBDC is a partnership among the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Business Council and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBDC focuses on educating small-business owners and potential owners on how to successfully start and operate small businesses. The SBDC’s main office is located at UW.

Wes Connell, of Creativity Consulting, will lead the workshop. He is an award-winning brand expert, with more than 35 years of professional graphic design experience.

“Business owners know that marketing and branding are important parts of their success, but have they really ever taken the time to plot a brand strategy?” Connell asks. “Their brand is their promise to their customers. Their brand strategy is the ‘to whom, how, where, what and when' they plan to communicate and deliver their brand message.”

“This should be a great program. For the $25 program registration fee, attendees get the class, plus a half-hour consult with Wes Connell at a later date at no additional charge,” says Cindy Beth Unger, business adviser for the Wyoming SBDC.
