UW Alumni to Perform in Guest Artist Recital Oct. 1 at UW

University of Wyoming Department of Music alumni Douglas Nagel, bass, and Timothy Schoessler, pianist, will perform in a guest artist recital Sunday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The duo will perform works by Schubert, Chopin, Wagner, Ravel and Ives.

Nagel received a Bachelor of Music degree (1982) from UW, with a focus in voice performance and piano. He is an assistant professor of voice and chorale studies at Montana State University-Billings (MSUB), where he teaches choral conducting, lyric diction and vocal pedagogy.

Schoessler received his Bachelor of Music (2004) and Master of Music (2009) degrees, both from UW, with a focus in keyboard performance. Schoessler is an adjunct piano instructor at MSUB and a private piano instructor in Powell. He teaches piano, pipe organ and guitar in Wyoming and Montana.
