Purpose and Meaningful Work Consultant to Speak at UW Oct. 10

Zach Mercurio

An international speaker and trainer who empowers purposeful people to better the world will speak at the University of Wyoming Tuesday, Oct. 10.

Zach Mercurio will discuss “College with a Purpose” at 7 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.

Mercurio’s presentation is designed to provide students with advice on how to find their purpose through living, studying and leading during their time in college. The session will include interactive stories, examples and inspiring tools in order to live and lead a life with purpose.

Mercurio has worked with a variety of individuals and organizations to transform organizations and ways of working and living.

He is the founder and author of PurposeSpeaks.com, a blog on purposeful leadership, life and work, and he is a regular contributor to The Huffington Post. He is the author of a forthcoming book, titled “The Invisible Leader: Transform Your Life, Work, and Organization with the Power of Authentic Purpose.”

An instructor at Colorado State University, Mercurio teaches courses on purposeful leadership and organizational development as he completes his Ph.D. in organizational learning, performance and change.

Mercurio also is a co-founder and vice president of the Foundation for Purposeful Organizations, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting purposeful leadership.
