U.S. Department of Energy Honors UW VP Synakowski

The University of Wyoming’s new vice president for research and economic development has been honored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for his efforts to develop nuclear fusion as an energy source.

UW Researchers Find Low Genetic Diversity in Inbred Domestic Ferrets

University of Wyoming researchers studied inbred domestic ferrets and determined the mammals have low genetic diversity on a global scale, according to a paper recently published in Evolutionary Applications.
