Campus Construction Update for Jan. 28

These are among the construction activities scheduled Jan. 28-Feb. 3 at the University of Wyoming:

Colder Weather Advisory (UW Operations) -- UW Operations asks building occupants to assist with ensuring buildings and facilities are safe and secure. Make sure all windows and doors are completely closed with windows latched at the end of each day, and report any doors or windows that you are unable to close and secure to the Service Desk (766-6225).

Snow Removal (UW Operations) -- Crews will remove snow as needed throughout the season. Watch for snow-removal equipment; be careful and safe during snow events. Call the Service Desk (766-6225) to report icy spots and problem areas.

Engineering Education and Research Building (EERB) (Construction manager GE Johnson Construction Wyoming LLC, Casper; spring 2019) -- Installation of the stone veneer is underway. Concrete block is being placed to form the pilasters around the building. Exterior and interior metal stud framing and drywall are underway. Mechanical/electrical/plumbing rough-ins are underway. Roofing is underway. Please steer clear of heavy equipment or delivery trucks parked on city streets. Please observe all construction signs.

South Ag C (The Plumbing Co., Laramie; January 2018) -- Surface restoration is underway. Please be cautious of crews and equipment in the area.

Classroom Building (Stonehouse Construction) -- The Classroom Building is now operational; however, entrance to the building will be temporarily restricted while work continues to replace a failed water main and storm sewer on the east side of the building. Please see the map for access to the building. Expect heavy truck traffic both to the north and south of the construction area.

The following projects are complete:

Chilled Water System Shutdown (UW Operations) -- UW’s chilled water system shutdown for installation of the new chiller at the Central Energy Plant is complete.

Education Building (Big Horn Roofing, Laramie; January 2018) -- Replacement of the small entrance on the east side by UniWyo Federal Credit Union is complete.
