Dinosaur Growth Topic of Darwin Days Lecture Feb. 6 at UW

Just how fast dinosaurs grew is the topic to be presented by a well-known paleontologist Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the University of Wyoming.

Paleontologist Michael D’Emic, a biology professor at Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y., will discuss “How Fast did Dinosaurs Grow Up?” at 5:30 p.m. in the Berry Biodiversity Conservation Center. The event is free and open to the public.

D’Emic’s talk is sponsored by the UW Geological Museum and the Biodiversity Institute, and is part of the annual Darwin Days public lecture series.

“The lecture will be geared toward a general audience, will be family-friendly, and we’ll have a show-and-tell of fossil specimens afterward,” says Laura Vietti, UW Geological Museum and collections manager. “Michael is a great speaker about a really interesting subject.”

Refreshments will be served following the presentation.
