Campus Construction Update for March 18

These are among the construction activities scheduled March 18-24 at the University of Wyoming:

Colder Weather Advisory (UW Operations) -- UW Operations asks building occupants to assist with ensuring buildings and facilities are safe and secure. Make sure all windows and doors are completely closed with windows latched at the end of each day, and report any doors or windows that you are unable to close and secure to the Service Desk (766-6225).

Snow Removal (UW Operations) -- Crews will remove snow as needed throughout the season. Watch for snow-removal equipment; be careful and safe during snow events. Call the Service Desk (766-6225) to report icy spots and problem areas.

Engineering Education and Research Building (EERB) (Construction manager GE Johnson Construction Wyoming LLC, Casper; spring 2019) -- Installation of the stone veneer is underway. Exterior and interior metal stud framing and drywall are underway. Mechanical/electrical/plumbing rough-ins are underway. Roofing is underway. Eleventh Street will be closed to traffic in both directions for the duration of the project. Please steer clear of heavy equipment or delivery trucks parked on city streets. Please observe all construction signs.

Wyoming Union Food Court Roof Replacement Project (Big Horn Roofing, Laramie; June 2018) -- Work is underway for replacement of the roof over the east side of the building. The contractor will load/unload materials adjacent to the dock. The staging area will be in the Wyoming Union parking lot. Trash dumpsters will be relocated next to the staging area in the parking lot for the duration of construction. Please be cautious around crews and equipment in this area.

The following projects are complete:

Corbett Building (UW Operations Shops; Arcon Inc., Laramie; January 2018) -- Masonry work to access the outside air chase for damper and insulation modifications has been completed.

Wyoming State Vet Lab, Plant Soils Building, Botany Conservatory, Stadium, Information Technology (Big Horn Roofing, Laramie) -- Various roof and edge blocking/fascia repairs have been completed.
