UW Student Opinion Surveys Administered Online This Year

March 21, 2018

Every two years, the University of Wyoming surveys students to determine their satisfaction with their experience at UW, from facilities and personal safety to variety of course offerings and faculty expertise.

This year, for the first time, the survey will be conducted entirely online. And, UW officials are preparing students to respond to email requests to participate.

Starting Thursday, some students -- a probability sample will be drawn from all UW students -- will receive official invitations via email to complete one of two questionnaire forms. The first is the Student Satisfaction Inventory, which is conducted in partnership with Ruffalo Noel Levitz. Alternatively, students may be selected to complete the UW Student Opinion Survey form, administered by the Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center.

The surveys will be only available for a short time. Every student who completes the Student Satisfaction Inventory or the Student Opinion Survey will be entered into a drawing for a new iPad.

“We know that this is a busy time of the semester and that, for many students, the last thing they need is to be asked to complete another survey,” Vice President for Student Affairs Sean Blackburn says. “But, student input helps to make positive changes at the University of Wyoming, and we ask all who receive the survey requests to take the time to provide their insights.”
