Students have the opportunity to vote for their choice of president/vice president and for senators from their respective colleges. Students may vote online from any device at www.uwyo.edu/asuw/; paper ballots also are available by request in the Associated Students of UW (ASUW) Office in Room 020 of the Wyoming Union.

There are two tickets for president/vice president (presidential candidates listed first):

-- Seth Jones, a junior communications and political science major from Upton, and Alexandra Mulhall, a junior political science major from Worland.

-- Roshan Stagger, a junior marketing major from New Delhi, India, and Riley Quigley, a junior mechanical engineering major from Aztec, N.M.

A president/vice president debate is scheduled from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, April 13, in the Wyoming Union Skylight Lounge.

Results of the election are scheduled to be announced at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 18. For more information about the election, go to www.uwyo.edu/asuw/elections/ or email questions to asuwelection@gmail.com.

The person chosen as president will preside over the student government that oversees a budget of more than $1 million, including funding for a variety of student programs. He or she also will serve as an ex-officio member of the UW Board of Trustees.

ASUW senators serve on various committees and represent their colleges in budgetary and policy matters affecting all UW students.

ASUW’s purpose is to serve students in the best manner possible through accurate representation, professional interaction with campus programs and organizations, and responsible, effective leadership.
