Gov. Matt Mead will discuss the ENDOW (Economically Needed Diversity Options for Wyoming) initiatives with University of Wyoming Master of Business Administration (MBA) students Friday, May 4, in the College of Business.

The Wyoming governor will meet with UW students as the final speaker of the MBA Program’s Executive Speaker Series.

ENDOW last year was established by Mead to diversify and expand Wyoming’s economy into the next generation. Earlier this year, the committee released its recommendations. UW College of Business Assistant Dean and MBA Director Steve Farkas is among the 14 statewide ENDOW committee members. Other members include representatives from the Wyoming Business Council, Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, Wyoming Community College Commission and the Office of the Governor.

Mead is winding up his second term as Wyoming’s 32nd governor. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in radio/television from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and later earned his law degree from the UW College of Law. After law school, he served as a prosecutor, practiced in a private firm and served as U.S. attorney for the state.

The MBA Program’s Executive Speaker Series, this spring, allows UW MBA students the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions and receive real-world learning experiences from a group of diverse industry leaders, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, financial service representatives and sports industry executives.

The UW MBA Program is accepting applications for the 2018 fall semester and will admit qualified students on a rolling basis until the cohort group is filled or June 30, whichever comes first, says Tanner Parmely, MBA Program coordinator.
