University of Wyoming Calendar for June 4

These are among the activities scheduled June 4-10 at the University of Wyoming:

Tuesday, June 5, 7 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “This Month’s Sky.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Wednesday, June 6, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- J Shogren Shanghai’d Duo, an Americana band, will perform for the UW Summer Concert Series on Simpson Plaza. Free.

Wednesday, June 6, 5:30-7 p.m. -- Jon Benson, Wyoming Technology Business Center CEO, and Mike Kmetz, a serial entrepreneur from Laramie, will present “Laramie’s Solid Foundation” at UW’s Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. The presentation is part of the Laramie chapter meeting of the e2e Wyoming program. To register for the meeting, call (307) 766-6395.

Friday, June 8, 8 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “Into the Dark: The Ghost of the Cosmos.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Saturday, June 9, 11 a.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “Our Closest Star.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
