University of Wyoming Calendar for July 2

These are among the activities scheduled July 2-8 at the University of Wyoming:

Tuesday, July 3, 7 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “This Month’s Sky.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Wednesday, July 4 -- Most UW administrative offices will be closed, and classes will be dismissed for Independence Day.

Friday, July 6, 8 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “Creating an Intergalactic Empire.” The STAR Observatory on the rooftop of the Physical Sciences Building will be open from 8-10 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Saturday, July 7, 10 a.m.-noon -- The UW Art Museum’s Ann Simpson Artmobile will host a Laramie Jubilee Days Parade costume-making workshop at the UW Art Museum. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
