University of Wyoming Calendar for July 16-22

Tuesday, July 17, 7 p.m. -- UW Planetarium full-dome movie, “Distant Worlds -- Alien Life?” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Wednesday, July 18, 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Local band Franklin Good Boy will perform for the UW Summer Concert Series on Simpson Plaza. Free.

Friday, July 20, 8 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “The Great Giants and Their Children.” The STAR Observatory on the rooftop of the Physical Sciences Building will be open from 8-10 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

A variety of exhibitions can be seen at the UW Art Museum in the Centennial Complex, 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.

Dinosaur skeletons, ancient mammal fossils and other exhibits are on display in the UW Geological Museum. The museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.

The UW Department of Botany’s Williams Conservatory is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free.
