Singer-Songwriter Night Sept. 13

StudioWYO will host three musicians for the first singer-songwriter night of the semester, Thursday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. at the University of Wyoming.

The concert, in The Gardens, is free and open to the public.

The first of the three performers is Hoi Ann. The duo’s genre is described as a “sad disco with a laid-back” sound.

For more information about Hoi Ann, visit Facebook at www.facebook.com/HoiAnnMusic/ or visit www.hoiannmusic.bandcamp.com/.

Joining Hoi Ann will be Kathryn Jones, a Laramie graduate student at UW. Jones plays guitar and keys to create a blend of folk, pop and soul. Also joining the performers will be David Schillinger. Schillinger’s music is described as “guitar driven, understated and contemplative.”

StudioWYO, a student-run program sponsored by Associated Students Technical Services (ASTEC), fosters and supports regional music by creating a live-music experience featuring top-of-the-line audiovisual equipment staffed by professional student technicians. StudioWYO offers shows each week.
