New Nightmare on Ivinson Events for UW Students Oct. 27

The popular “Nightmare on Ivinson” will offer new and exciting events for students at the University of Wyoming Saturday, Oct. 27, at 9 p.m.

“Pistol Pete’s New Nightmare” will be held in the Wyoming Union. Events include a well-known medium, a murder mystery dessert program, a Mason jar mummy craft, a costume contest and a screening of the cult film “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Events begin with medium Marisa Liza Pell, a mummy craft workshop and a murder mystery dessert.

Pell, an internationally known medium, will appear in the Wyoming Union Ballroom at 9 p.m. She is known as “one of the most detailed mediums in media entertainment today.” She has appeared on CBS, NBC, FOX and the CW networks.

Also, at the same time, a Mason jar mummy craft workshop will be held in the Wyoming Union Senate Chambers.

The murder mystery dessert is a ticketed event, but tickets are free to UW students and are available at the Wyoming Union information desk. The program will be held in the Wyoming Union Family Room beginning at 9:30 p.m.

“Nightmare on Ivinson” will wrap up at 11 p.m. with a costume contest and a screening of the audience-participating “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

The costume contest is for UW students and will take place during the screening of “Rocky Horror Picture Show” in the Wyoming Union Ballroom. Prizes will be given to the student with the best “Rocky Horror Picture Show” costume and for the best general costume.

The 43-year-old classic film stars Barry Bostwick, Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry and singer Meat Loaf.

The 7220 Entertainment Late-Night Events Committee, which sponsors “Pistol Pete’s New Nightmare,” meets Tuesdays at 5 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center (CAC) in Room 012 in the Wyoming Union.
