End-of-Semester Activities Scheduled at UW Dec. 7

A hypnotist, crafts and various activities are scheduled during the University of Wyoming’s end-of-semester Winter Fest Friday, Dec. 7, at 9 p.m. in the Wyoming Union. The event is free and open to UW students.

Winter Fest, hosted by 7220 Entertainment, will include a well-known hypnotist, a stuffed animal craft workshop, a meditation room, “minute to win it” games and a movie marathon.

Chicago native hypnotist Chris Jones performs more than 200 shows annually across the country. His appearance on “America’s Got Talent” in 2015 earned more than 11 million views. Since that appearance, Jones has performed on Steve Harvey’s and Adam Carolla’s shows, and YouTube’s “Scam School.”

Winter Fest also will include a popular stuffed animal craft. Tickets will be required for the event and are available at the Wyoming Union information desk until the day of the event. Remaining tickets will be available to students the night of the event at the Cowboy Check-in table.

Other events will include a “Zen Den” room, which includes foot massage pods, meditation pillows, coloring pages and a holiday card craft. Students are eligible for prizes playing “minute to win it” games throughout the night.

The films “Leprechaun” and “Sharknado” will be screened as part of the movie marathon.

The 7220 Entertainment Late-Night Events Committee, which sponsors Winter Fest, meets Tuesdays at 5 p.m. in the Campus Activities Center (CAC) in Room 012 in the Wyoming Union.
