UW Faculty Recital Series Features Trio Nov. 13

The University of Wyoming Department of Music’s Faculty Recital Series will feature flutist Sara Lima da Silveira Costa, violist Glêsse Collet and pianist Theresa Bogard Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall. The performance is free and open to the public.

Pieces to be featured include “Gosto do Brasil,” “Sonhos,” “Sonata for Flute and Piano,” “Jouers de Flûte” and “Prélude, Récitatif et Variations, Op. 3 for Flute, Viola and Piano.”

Collet founded the University of Brasilia String Orchestra at the University of Brasilia, where she taught viola, chamber music and orchestra. She also worked as a guest faculty member at UW and has received many honors, including "Best Chamber Music Group of the Year" in 2004.

Bogard, keyboard area coordinator at UW, is equally at home as a solo pianist and collaborative artist. She can be heard on the Fleur de son, Centaur and Albany record labels.
