University of Wyoming Calendar for Dec. 17

These are among the activities scheduled Dec. 17-Jan. 6 at the University of Wyoming:

Monday, Dec. 17-Tuesday, Dec. 18 -- Final examinations conclude for UW students.

Tuesday, Dec. 18, 7 p.m. -- UW Planetarium full-dome movie, “Two Small Pieces of Glass.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Wednesday, Dec. 19, noon -- UW residence halls close for fall 2018.

Thursday, Dec. 20, 6:30 p.m. -- Cowgirl basketball vs. South Dakota State University, Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Friday, Dec. 21, 7 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “Mind-Blowing Astronomy.” The STAR Observatory on the rooftop of the Physical Sciences Building will be open to the public from 8-9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Saturday, Dec. 22, 11 a.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “The Center of Our Galaxy: Stars and Black Holes.” Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement. Advance tickets are available in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 204, or by going online at www.uwyo.edu/physics/ and clicking on “Planetarium Schedule.”

Saturday, Dec. 22-Tuesday, Jan. 1 -- Most UW business and administrative offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, as well as winter break.

Saturday, Dec. 29, 4 p.m. -- Cowboy basketball vs. Dixie State University, Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Wednesday, Jan. 2 -- Normal business hours resume at UW.

Wednesday, Jan. 2, 7 p.m. -- Cowboy basketball vs. Boise State University, Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Friday, Jan. 4, 4 p.m. -- Cowboy wrestling hosts the Cowboy Shootout in the Arena-Auditorium. Ticket prices vary.

Friday, Jan. 4, 7 p.m. -- UW Planetarium show, “The Power of a Zero.” The STAR Observatory on the rooftop of the Physical Sciences Building will be open to the public from 8-9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $3 for students and $4 for non-students, Physical Sciences Building basement.
