JCA Companies Official Sponsor of UW Rodeo Team

JCA Companies, a Wyoming oil and gas services company, and its subsidiaries C-MOR Energy Services, Titan Casing and Cascade Services, are the official sponsor of the University of Wyoming rodeo team.

Through the multiyear deal, college rodeo fans across the country will now see UW student-athletes wearing JCA’s logo on their sleeves during competitions.

UW’s spring rodeo officially will be renamed “JCA Companies UW Rodeo Laramie River Rendezvous,” and the team’s Rodeo Bucking Gala Feb. 23 will be branded as “JCA Companies UW Rodeo Bucking Gala.”

Jack Greer, JCA Companies CEO and former UW rodeo team member, says being a UW student-athlete prepared him for his professional career. The company is based in Cody.

“It is an honor to be a part of a sport I have dedicated so much of my life to. The education I obtained and the experiences I had competing for the University of Wyoming prepared me for a career in the oil and gas industry,” he says. “I am fortunate that as part of the JCA Companies team, I can help give back to UW and the student-athletes trying to succeed in rodeo and in the classroom.”

Josh Allison, another JCA Companies CEO, adds that he is grateful for the opportunity to help UW’s rodeo student-athletes gain success on a national level.

“As a Wyoming native and Wyoming company, with several UW alumni being part of our organization, we are excited about the future of UW rodeo,” Allison says. “The university couldn’t ask for a better coach in Beau Clark, who has already put together one of the top college rodeo teams in the country and has positioned this program to be a long-term national finals contender.”

In his first year, Clark says he welcomes the new sponsorship because of the focus of UW’s program, which is to use the college rodeo experience as a platform to help young people grow and develop life skills needed to be successful.

“UW rodeo wants to win with all phases of our program -- the classroom, individual student growth and success in the arena,” he adds. He also praises both Allison and Greer for their leadership.

“We are excited to partner with JCA Companies as the official sponsor. Josh Allison has been a leader of this partnership through his commitment and support for UW and our college rodeo team,” Clark says. “We are thankful to have an opportunity to partner with a company that has a similar vision for success, compete with great integrity and commit to excellence with the highest standards.”

He adds that Greer, who has two brothers on the current UW team, was another key leader in the partnership agreement.

“‘The World Needs More Cowboys,’ and Jack is one of our many Cowboys who we are extremely proud because of leadership, work ethic and the effort to make our world a better place,” Clark says. “Jack is the example of what the UW college rodeo program experience can do for young people in Wyoming. The support from JCA Companies will help ensure that we continue to have the opportunities needed to build the right structure for a successful rodeo program at the University of Wyoming.”

Heading into the spring season, the UW men are in first place in the Central Rocky Mountain Region, while the Cowgirls are second in a tight race with Gillette College.

Additionally, JCA Companies will co-sponsor UW’s Energy Day football game in the fall, which will include an on-field presentation during a halftime ceremony with the JCA logo displayed on the video board as well as the JCA brand on several banners throughout the stadium.

New university apparel with the JCA Companies logo, coupled with the UW Rodeo lettering, will soon be available.
