Plans Taking Shape for UW-Casper Graduation Celebration

The University of Wyoming at Casper has established a Celebration of Excellence committee to plan the details of the upcoming reception to acknowledge students who are completing their studies.

If students wish to walk in a formal commencement ceremony, that will be held on the UW campus in Laramie and coordinated by the student through that campus.

UW-Casper’s Celebration of Excellence will be held Tuesday, May 7, at 4:30 p.m. at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds Industrial Building. Participation sign-up forms are available in the UW-Casper office and online at https://bit.ly/2tvjBgK. Those planning to attend are asked to fill out the form.

To commemorate the graduates’ accomplishment, Audie Jeans Photography will be on-site at the celebration to take photos. Students can sign up online for the individual or group session that fits their needs by going to https://bit.ly/2E8W3nS. UW caps and gowns will be provided.

For graduation, students have two options: the Celebration of Excellence in Casper and the traditional graduation ceremony in Laramie. Students can attend both activities or choose between the two.

Students and their families and friends who plan to attend graduation in Laramie are encouraged to make lodging reservations at their earliest opportunity, as accommodations fill quickly. It also is important they stay attentive to university announcements on graduation deadlines and instructions for ordering regalia, parking and other details.
