Kwanna King Selected New UW Registrar

Kwanna King has been selected as the new University of Wyoming registrar following a national search. She begins her duties Wednesday, May 29.

King comes from Connors State College, a public college located in Warner and Muskogee, Okla., where she served as registrar for eight years. She has been a higher education leader in registration, records and admissions and an adjunct faculty member.

She helped lead Connors State College through a CRM (customer relationship management) transition to Banner and the adoption of the Degree Works software systems. Both platforms are maintained at UW.

King has been a visible and active member of the state professional association for collegiate registrars, recently serving as president of the Oklahoma Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers.

“I am thrilled to welcome Kwanna to the leadership team for UW Enrollment Management,” Associate Vice Provost Kyle Moore says. “She brings a very high commitment to student-focused processes and institutionwide collaborations.”

King earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration at Bacone College in Muskogee and a Master of Arts in human relations at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
