Stovall Named New SBDC Casper Regional Director

The Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network named Steen Stovall as the new regional director for Converse, Natrona, Niobrara and Platte counties.

Stovall will assist entrepreneurs in his region with all aspects of starting, growing or even selling a business. He also offers his advanced expertise in second-stage business strategies, capital acquisition and business operations/development to entrepreneurs throughout the state. The Wyoming SBDC Network, located at the University of Wyoming, offers no-cost, confidential advising and technical assistance to small businesses in every industry throughout the entire state.

As a recent arrival to Wyoming, he’s looking forward to meeting with clients and visiting small businesses throughout the state.

“Mentoring entrepreneurs as they start or grow their business is something I’ve always enjoyed,” Stovall says. “I can’t wait to explore more of my new community as well as meet the area’s small-business owners and help them succeed.”

Stovall has been involved in the small business and workforce development sectors for more than 25 years. A business veteran, he co-founded businesses in the oil, gas, retail and construction industries. In addition, he’s been involved in the academic sector, teaching classes in entrepreneurship, marketing, management, accounting and construction planning at numerous colleges and universities. Most recently, Stovall served as the interim state director of the SBDC Network in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
