Veteran-Supported COMBAT Color Fun Run Canceled at UW

Students Supporting Veterans at the University of Wyoming has canceled the fifth COMBAT Color fun run in Laramie due to COVID-19 concerns. The race originally was scheduled for April 18.

The UWEFE (Engineering Fund for Enrichment) COMBAT Color fun run is a 3-mile run or 1.5-mile walk, and a game of color tag that combines physical fitness, fun and celebrating military veterans and their sacrifices, says Luke Cloud, a member of the Students Supporting Veterans organization. Students Supporting Veterans at UW organizes the run. Proceeds from the event fund the Connor Cloud Scholarship for Veterans at UW.

UWEFE, Associated Students of UW, the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS), the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and engineering Interim Dean Cameron Wright also sponsor the run.

Luke Cloud says 100 free CEAS student registration packets that each include a T-shirt, a pair of sunglasses and two packets of color are available upon request.
