UW Alumni Association Accepting Information Items for Virtual Homecoming Schedule

The University of Wyoming Alumni Association (UWAA) is gathering information for the 2020 virtual Homecoming schedule.

Homecoming virtual activities will take place Oct. 10-17. Homecoming activities for students will be determined individually following guidance from the university’s fall return plan.

“With the postponement of fall sports and as UW leadership has continually monitored the reopening of campus for the start of the fall semester, there is a consensus that in-person alumni Homecoming traditions could not be held with the integrity, quality and safety level as past celebrations,” says Keener Fry, UWAA executive director. “We hope alumni take part in some of the virtual Homecoming offerings, and we are looking forward to celebrating with them in person in 2021.”

The UWAA asks that virtual Homecoming events be submitted to the UWYO Events Calendar. To access the calendar, go to “Events” in the top right corner of a UW webpage or go to www.uwyo.edu/uw/calendar/. In the venue and event type fields, select “virtual event.” Note “Homecoming” in the event description.

The UWAA will share events submitted to the UWYO Events Calendar with the calendar that is posted on the Homecoming website at www.uwyo.edu/homecoming.

Laramie businesses and organizations should submit their virtual events directly to the UWAA by emailing Emily Vernon, senior special events coordinator, at evernon@uwyo.edu. Events will be included in the online Homecoming schedule.
