Registration Now Open for UWAAs Third Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

Online registration is now open for the University of Wyoming Alumni Association (UWAA) gingerbread house decorating contest.

The contest, now in its third year, is open to the UW campus community, alumni and friends. Categories available are family or group; individual age 12 and under; individual age 13 and over; and professional. To register, go to http://uw.uwyo.edu/holiday21. The deadline to register is Friday, Nov. 19.

The contest rules are:

-- All materials used to create and decorate gingerbread houses must be edible.

-- Battery-operated lights are allowed.

Gingerbread houses must be dropped off in the atrium of the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center, located at 222 S. 22nd St., by 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. They will be on display there Monday-Friday, Dec. 6-10.

Voting will begin Monday, Dec. 6., and will stay open through Friday, Dec. 10, at noon. The Gateway Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Only one vote per person per category will be allowed. The winning team from each category will receive an engraved trophy.
