UW International Education Week Events Scheduled Nov. 15

Events ranging from presentations on scholarship opportunities to specialty-prepared meals and education abroad opportunities are among activities planned for the University of Wyoming’s International Education Week Nov. 15-19. All events are open to the public.

The week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. UW hosts students and scholars from nearly 100 countries on campus each year.

This year’s events include a passport workshop; a career panel with WyoGlobal alumni; a 7220 Entertainment film screening of the Academy Award-nominated film “Minari”; nightly special meals from various countries on the menu at Washakie Dining Center; an etiquette dinner; and other informational presentations. All events are free except for the nightly meals at Washakie Dining Center.

The activities are sponsored by UW’s Global Engagement Office, which includes the Education Abroad office, the International Students and Scholars office, and the English Language Center. International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that is celebrated each year at universities across the U.S.
