UW Transportation Operating Hours to Extend Feb. 6

University of Wyoming Transportation Services plans to extend operating hours for transit starting Monday, Feb. 6.

A limited park-and-ride route from the East Express Lot (30th and Willett) to the Wyoming Union will operate from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Buses will stop at each location every seven minutes.

The Ivinson Parking Garage will be added to the route upon opening later this spring. The addition of the evening park-and-ride route is expected to help ease parking congestion near the Wyoming Union after 5 p.m.

Americans with Disabilities Act paratransit on-demand service also will extend hours to 10:30 p.m. for passengers with mobility impairments who are unable to use the fixed transit routes.

In conjunction with the extension of transit hours, SafeRide will modify operating hours starting Feb. 13. SafeRide’s new operating schedule will be 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Friday; 10 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
