UW’s release announcing spring commencement ceremonies this weekend was published on Sheridan Media’s website.

The Casper Star-Tribune (CS-T) reported that UW might develop a new bachelor’s degree program in tribal leadership. Central Wyoming College officials recently presented a proposal to the Wind River Intertribal Council to develop the program at UW. Also publishing the article were U.S. News and World Report and The Seattle Times.

Jeffrey Means, an associate professor of Native American history at UW and an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, discussed the broken promises of the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868. The article, reprinted in the Idaho Falls Post Register, was originally published in The CS-T.

Wyo4News published UW’s release announcing Rock Springs student Katherine Jones as one of the Spitaleri Award finalists as the top UW woman graduate.
