Lecture Series: Past Seminars

Anne MacKinnon, adjunct instructor for the UW/CC Center, is a writer, editor, and consultant in public discussion of natural resource issues. During the last two fall semesters, she has brought experts to Casper to discuss timely topics in Wyoming resources in two series of stimulating lectures: Delicate Networks in fall 2007 and Climate Change in fall 2008.

Did you miss a lecture in the series and would like to learn more?  Click one of the links below for a description of the lectures.

Delicate Networks: 2007
Climate Change: 2008

This fall, MacKinnon will teach a course on Policy Strategies for Climate Change in Wyoming: Mitigation and Adaptation (ENR 4890/5890). The course will acquaint students with the latest thinking on the best policies to combat issues with climate change, both nationally and internationally. The course will also investigate what strategies people in Wyoming are undertaking or what they could be doing to reduce possible problems in the future. Students will have an opportunity to write a proposal on a mitigation or adaptation issue which needs attention. The class will be offered for undergraduate or graduate credit.
