Originally from Indiana, Craft received her associate’s degree in Montana, moved to Wyoming in 1996 and began working for UW Extension’s Cent$ible Nutrition Program as a coordinator five years ago. She’s now down to her final three courses in the bachelor of applied science program.
“My degree will give me current and more complex strategies for dealing with community issues and assisting the community in organizing to promote better health, better living conditions, better working conditions and more education,” Craft says.
While most of her classes were online or via video conferencing, Craft says her regional academic coordinator, Amy McClure, provided in-person support. “The availability of being able to go in and talk to her—that’s been a huge help for me. I never felt I was out there alone.”
