PATB/MOLB 2220 - Pathogenic Microbiology

Designed primarily for nursing and pre-pharmacy majors, this 4-credit course with laboratory is taught by Dr. Kerry Sondgeroth.  It introduces students to microbiology, including the diversity of prokaryotic and eukaryotic microbes, their structural and physiological properties, and applied medical significance. It covers the basic principles of the immune system and emphasizes the communicable diseases of humans that are caused by microbial pathogens.
