Recover Deleted Assets

If you've accidentally deleted a folder, page, or file and you'd like to get it back you're in luck! The CMS includes a recycle bin, which stores deleted items for 30 days before they're permanently deleted. If it's been 30 days or less since you deleted the asset, read on:

  1. The first thing you'll need to do is go to the home tab in the CMS. Select the Home link in the top navigation bar.
    Recover a deleted asset
  2. On the home page you'll see a Recycle Bin section. You will see right next to the text how many assets, if any, are currently in the Recycle Bin. In this case there's 1 item:
Recover a deleted asset recycle bin
  3. Select the Recycle Bin text. You will be taken to a listing of the assets currently located in the Recycle Bin. If the asset you're looking for is in the bin, select the checkbox next to the asset. Then select restore from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the list of assets.
    Restore deleted item
  4. You're item asset should be restored. Be sure to re-publish the asset and areas of your site affected by the restoration.
