 Join us for a free two-day training, funded by the Wyoming Geographic Alliance, as part of the National Geographic Initiative on Geo-Inquiry

 Explore the Geo-Inquiry Process to engage students in having a voice in global and local situations.

  •  Audubon Rockies and Wyoming Game and Fish biodiversity lessons

  • Wyoming floor map, watersheds and physical features

  • Digital Wyoming Student Atlas lessons on Indigenous tribes, the railroad and population growth, energy resources, natural hazards, and why Wyoming is so windy.  

  • Migration and Yellowstone National Park ecosystem

  • Explore National Geographic Giant Maps of Wyoming and North America.

  • Information on becoming a National Geographic Certified Educator.

  • Free teaching resources that actively engage students and align with standards.

  • Place based education strategies that align with STEAM requirements for social studies, science, library tech, media specialists, and technology educators.

  • Free WY PTSB credit and optional one UW outreach credit (UW $50 fee).  

  • Lodging (double occupancy) provided by Wyoming Geographic Alliance.

  • Free lunch and snacks provided each day.

  • $50 scholarships available to support mileage reimbursement.

  • Limited to 30 participants; bring your own laptop.
