Professor Colleen Denney has published a book, "The Visual Culture of Women's Activism in London, Paris, and Beyond"

During her sabbatical in the Spring semester of 2019, Prof. Denney will work on three distinctive projects: (1) Annie Louise Robinson Swynnerton, late nineteenth-century British artist and her nudes/portraits; (2) Paintings of interiors by Gwen John, early twentieth-century British modernist artist; and (3) travel to Australia for “Australian Women’s Suffrage: A Visual Investigation” in order to study the visual materials and archives on women’s suffrage in South Australia for colonial white women (1894) at the archives in Adelaide; women’s suffrage visual materials at the National Library of Australia in Canberra; and archives related to the delay of suffrage for indigenous cultures in Australia.
