Jungian terminology

Jung was a student of Freud, but he and Freud split over Jung's theory that mythology and religion can explain human behavior.

Collective unconscious -"reservoir of the experiences of our species"
Archetypes -�universal images that have existed since the remotest times�
Archetypal images (symbols) �form taken by archetype in cultural, mythical, religious products. An image must be repeated frequently to be considered archetypal.
Individuation ��archetypes seek actualization within context of an individual�s environment�
